Cleaning an RV inside and out??????

Postby linx41 » Thu Oct 16, 2008 12:02 pm

New to the forum:

I live year round in an RV(recreational vehicle). I'd like to clean with the very least of commercial
chemicals. In this age of "being GREEN",I need to know which domestic products I could use to clean from walls,
plastic, floors linoleum, bathtub and kitchen sink and stove to counter tops. Whether you are an RV'er or not
kindly advice.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello linx41,
Welcome to the forum!
There are plenty of common items that you probably already have in your cupboard, which can also be used as household cleansers. By using these items, instead of expensive, toxic commercial cleansers you will be saving money and your health.

Some common pantry items that do double duty as inexpensive, non-toxic cleaners include:
• Baking soda
• Salt
• Cream of Tartar
• Lemon juice
• Vinegar

Some other household items that are useful as cleaners, but are NOT safe for human consumption include:
• Toothpaste
• Hydrogen peroxide
• Isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing alcohol)
• Dishwashing liquid

A good, all-purpose cleaner that is great for the kitchen and bathroom:
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Just spray and wipe.
Vinegar cuts through grease and grime, kills mold and its scent disappears as it dries.

Good Luck and let me know how it turns out!

A fabulous company which sells earth and health friendly cleaners is Norwex Enviro Products - they have wonderful chemical free products that work better than the store brands. My absolute favorites are their microfiber cloths and window cloths (both have a 2 year warranty)! Happy Cleaning :D
