Hello linx41,
Welcome to the forum!
There are plenty of common items that you probably already have in your cupboard, which can also be used as household cleansers. By using these items, instead of expensive, toxic commercial cleansers you will be saving money and your health.
Some common pantry items that do double duty as inexpensive, non-toxic cleaners include:
• Baking soda
• Salt
• Cream of Tartar
• Lemon juice
• Vinegar
Some other household items that are useful as cleaners, but are NOT safe for human consumption include:
• Toothpaste
• Hydrogen peroxide
• Isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing alcohol)
• Dishwashing liquid
A good, all-purpose cleaner that is great for the kitchen and bathroom:
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Just spray and wipe.
Vinegar cuts through grease and grime, kills mold and its scent disappears as it dries.
