Hairspray buildup

Inorganic stains come from material that is not from a living organism. It includes lime and mineral deposits, rust, soap scum, and stains from chemicals.

Hello hammock,

Most women; as part of our daily regimen, finalize our getting ready for the day by spraying a little hairspray to keep our hair in place. Hairspray will overtime build up on floors and become sticky.

Use a clean cloth or sponge and apply a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% warm water. This mixture with a little elbow grease will have your floors clean again in no time. The vinegar is a natural deodorizer and the smell will dissipate quickly.

Another solution if you don’t want to use vinegar is to use very hot soapy water with a little bit of dish washing detergent. You may want to use a pair of cleaning gloves to protect your hands from the hot water.

When cleaning ceramic tile, do not use abrasive scouring powder, this will scratch and dull the shine on the ceramic tile surface. (Unless you’re cleaning products label states specifically that it is safe for a tile surfaces).
