How do you remove car oil stains after items been washed?

How to remove inorganic stains. Inorganic stains come from material that is not from a living organism such as lime and mineral deposits, rust, soap scum, and stains from chemicals.

How do you remove car oil stains after items been washed?

Is it possible to remove a car oil stain after the shirt has been through the washer and dryer. Someone through the shirt into the wash without checking it and it was my boyfriends favorite shirt. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hello Miss.Goldenweek and welcome to our forum:

If the oil stain was from your boyfriend working on a car (the old black stuff) the shirt may be permanently stained, but don't let that make you give up just yet. Here are a couple of things you can try:

Goop or WD-40.

1. First place a towel under the area of the stain.
2. Gently rub either the Goop or WD-40 over the oil stained area (don't scrub).
3. Let it sit on the stain for 15 - 30 minutes, depending on how dark it is.
4. Rinse in warm water.

If one doesn't work, try the other. If nothing else, if it is the old, dirty oil, it may lighten the stain.
