Hello Kleeninit,

Welcome to the forum!

As you know by now – stainless steel stains!

Give these tips a try to restore the beauty of the sink:
• Mix baking soda and dish soap together and scrub the stain, this combination may be enough to remove the stain.
• Using vinegar, moisten a soft cloth and wipe the stained area.
• You can also try rubbing the stained area with olive oil and a soft cloth.
• There a some effective commercial stainless steel stain removers that will help remove the stains.

Here are some additional tips for cleaning stainless steel

Thoroughly rinse any residue from cleaning, and always wipe the stainless steel dry to avoid spotting.

You shouldn’t use scouring powders or pads as this can scratch your sink.

You could also use a rubber or plastic mat in the sink to keep it from staining and getting scratches.

Good Luck!

Here are some more tips on how to remove stains from stainless steel sinks...hope it will be useful to you....

Cut a fresh lemon in half and rub the cut side on the stain in your sink. Different stains respond to different treatments, so if the lemon doesn't work, there are other options you can try to remove the stains.

Leave the lemon juice on the stain and sprinkle on a little common table salt. The two elements together have a light bleaching action, yet it's non-toxic.

Wet the surface of the stain with water and sprinkle on a little baking soda. This works as a non-abrasive scouring powder. Rub with a damp soft cloth.

Place the stopper in the sink's drain and pour some white vinegar on the stain. Let it sit for 30 minutes. If the stain is even more stubborn, heat the vinegar on the stove top or in the microwave and pour the warm vinegar on the stain, again allowing it to sit for 30 minutes.

Baking soda mixed with liquid dish soap can make a good paste to gently rub on stains. Be sure to rinse the stainless steel surface thoroughly, and towel dry.

If the stains still remain you can try vinegar. Remember to thoroughly rinse and towel dry. I remember I had to use drain master from Parramatta to remove the stains. This was a hard part of the job. But had got it cleaned.. He he No jokes.

I personally like to use Bar Keepers Friend to clean metal. It works great on stainless steel. It is a powder and comes in a can (like a can of comet or ajax). You shake out a little and mix it with a small amount of water to make a paste, BKF contains oxalic acid which removes tarnish from metal and porcelain. It works really good for removing coffee and teas stains from porcelain cups. I would sprinkle the BKF direclty onto a green abrasive sponge ( the same one in the mrs clean usa logo  ), sprinkle a little water on it and then scrub the stain. Then buff out with a microfiber cloth.

Stainless steel sinks are very popular for its elegance and durability, but it can lose its shine and become dull, without proper care. Hence, it is very much necessary to clean it regularly. Cleaning stainless steel can sometimes seem tricky, but is a very resilient surface.

Baking soda mixed with liquid dish soap can make a good paste to gently rub on stains. Be sure to rinse the stainless steel surface thoroughly, and towel dry. If the stains still remain you can try vinegar.

The use of simple things seems like a good choice. However don't put a lot pressure and don't use any abrasive cleaners and scourers you may damage the surface :)

A major drawback of stainless steel is that - it stains! A definite thing to remember is not to overuse a detergent or scrub a lot. You would only end up with a surface full of scratches.

Try mixing baking soda to your liquid wash. Again it depends how bad the stain is. You can try anyway..
