IN DOOR AIR

Postby bedroomupkeep » Wed Dec 22, 2010 9:02 pm

DAILY, without fail we spend about 6 to 8 hours in a bedroom of 4 walls, a ceiling at the top and a floor for the bottom....... Just like a "CLOSED BIG BOX"!. Right! Earlier in the day, you were probably in a bigger box called the office.
What did you breathe the whole day yesterday ? What did you breathe the whole of last night? Do you notice that on both occasions, you were in “air shut” compartments.
This is a daily aspect of life for the majority in modern buildings. Totally sealed with unopened windows, nil ventilation and "NO" fresh flow of air. No exchange of air or dilution of fowl or used air takes place
We are merely fooling ourselves that the air conditioners will take care.
What good do you see (and breathe) living with trapped cold air, kept in circulation by “sick” air conditioners. Yes sir and madam, SICK air-conditioners. Go and open the frame of the nearest air-con unit and see the amount of trapped dust, inside. This dust content increases daily and gets to be constantly flushed into the bedroom, office and closed environments. Occupants breathe this, daily.
The low quality air plus the dusty environment, perfectly breeds all types of germs and bacteria and together can cause a whole lot of health related problems: migraines, headaches, eye, nose and throat infections and irritations, dry skin, fatigue, dizziness, discomfort, induced asthma and so on.
Buildings (even hospitals) are being labelled "SICK BUILDINGS". Victims to the above are our loved ones, family members, and office mates all “trapped” within the four walls of our house, and our place. More and more schools and institutions and both child or adult nurseries are included in this category of sick buildings.
Air in-doors have become very dirty and polluted, for lack of adequate air circulation. Our building structures have not provided for proper air ventilation. There is no air-flow to facilitate air exchange.

(1) To upkeep good air quality, people use air purifiers to purify the air, and air sterilizers to sterilize the air. For adequacy, you would need many units. Are they kept and maintained in a healthy way ? How often do you change the filters?

(2) Secondly, time, trouble, effort, maintenance factors and costs, prohibit people from changing the relevant filters found in these units, including air conditioners. Hence the consequences of inhaled ill air..

(3) Air purifiers and air sterilizers are of no air therapy value. They cannot medicate or aromatize the air at times of need. Air is also a medicinal therapeutic carrier.

Air is essential, and is more essential than water. Everybody treats water before consuming. You can go for a day without water. Nobody cares for air, but try just three minutes without air. Air brings oxygen into the body, and also doubles up as a body temperature regulator.

What then should you do? Find out more. Take corrective and remedial action.

I just keep my window open all the time. I close it only at night when it gets really cold.
