Laminated kitchen bench

For some strange reason I have orange (from an orange) stains on my laminated kitchen bench, which I was sure bleach would remove. It didn't - can you suggest something please?

Hello joodyanne and welcome,

What you might try on the laminate bench is hydrogen peroxide. If you don't have any it can be purchased at your local grocery store or drug store.

Because orange peel contains essential oils and you are getting a pure orange color from the orange, the first thing you should do is wash the area completely with a detergent then rinse well before using the hydrogen peroxide it the stain is still remaining.

Hydrogen Peroxide:

What you will need:
Cotton balls
Plastic wrap
Dark towel

Take the cotton balls and soak them with the hydrogen peroxide, use enough to cover the stained area.
Place the cotton balls over the stain and cover with the plastic wrap.
Then cover with the dark towel. This is done because hydrogen peroxide turns to water when exposed to light.
Let sit and check after an hour to see how it's working, leave longer if needed.

Thank you - give me a few days to get the products and try out your suggestions - I am in Australia - never heard of clay kitty litter, but will enquire.

Thanks
