silly putty

How to remove inorganic stains. Inorganic stains come from material that is not from a living organism such as lime and mineral deposits, rust, soap scum, and stains from chemicals.

Is there any way to remove silly putty from the pocket of a pair of jeans?

Sure we know how to remove silly putty from fabric. It?s a very similar stain removal method as removing gum.

You need to assemble to following:

Dull butter knife
WD-40
Detergent
Rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol

First put the pant in the freezer and leave them there till they are frozen hard. Once the silly putty is frozen, use the butter knife to scrape and chip most of the big chunks away.

Now that just residue remains, spray the fabric with wd-40. Thoroughly saturate, let it sit for about 30 minutes and use the dull knife edge to remove any remaining stain embedded in the fibers.

If you see any remaining silly putty stain the fabric, put a touch of rubbing alcohol and detergent and gently rub in the fibers. Let it sit for about 30 minutes.

Launder as usual, after washing, BEFORE DRYING, if any stain remains use the WD-40 and rub gently to remove any remaining silly putty.

I hope this helps!
