I am in DESPERATE need of all or any ideas on what we can do to remove the Ty-D-Bowl Cleaner(BLUE) From our Master Bedroom Carpet??

My 3yr old son, Also known as our personal "Dennis The Menace" Got into my walk-in closet, some 5? Months ago. He stumbled upon my extra bottles of toilet bowl cleaner. (Stored On the highest Rack Possible!!!!) He proceeded to open all 3 bottles!! Dumping them all over himself as well as our THICK PILE, Twisted loop, WHITE, $43 per sq yard Bedroom carpet? I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!! Any solutions???? We have spent a fortune hiring professionals?

Any remedy would be greatly appreciated.

Most Sincerely,
Jennifer

Hello, Here is a suggestion you might try.

You could try using hydrogen peroxide (medical strength from your local drug store), to lift the color from the stain. Spray onto the stain, cover with plastic wrap and put a towel over it to keep any light from getting in. After an hour or so then remove the towel and plastic and let it air dry.

Hydrogen peroxide works as an excellent stain remover and is very inexpensive. It will not damage fabric and it actually converts to plain water when exposed to sunlight.
It is possible that given enough time, and applications the peroxide treatment will fade or even make the stain disappear!

We try our best to solve each question asked of us but considering three bottles of dye has been spilled, the stain may be permanently set in. If these suggestions have not helped you may want to consider having your carpet patched or getting a nice decorative rug to place over the stain?

Let us know if this works.
