Hello all! I'm searching for a higher-end steam cleaner for our new home, and since you all are the cleaning specialists I figured I see if you had any suggestions. Iv'e read about the ultra-high end Lady bug steam cleaner and the lower priced ones on amazon. My budget is about $500, has anybody used one of the higher-end models? Thank for the help.

Consider these points when purchasing a steam cleaner.

Durability.
You want one where the quality and durability of the steam cleaners housing will last a long time; heavy-duty plastic, aluminum or stainless steel is best; a metal housing will rust over time. Other things to look for is water temperature, boiler and water tank size, pressure. Do you want a steam cleaner that allows for continuous fill, and upright or canister?

High end vapor steam cleaners will have temperatures above 295 degrees and at least a pressure of 65 psi. At these levels your machine will sanitize and disinfect quite well.
It will be worth it in the long run if you spend a little more and get a boiler that is stainless steel. Aluminum will degrade more quickly over time.

Upright or Canister.
Uprights are good for larger areas but are heavy to move around. Canisters work well for smaller areas and are easier to move around with. Some canisters hold more water than uprights, but the water may cool faster.

Attachments.
Select a steam cleaner with a variety of attachments for your furniture, floors, stairs, cars, etc. A rotating brush is good for lifting dirt. If these are all the things you are looking for then you don’t want to settle for less.

I’d also consider selecting a steam cleaner with replaceable hoses. If the hose becomes damaged you can easily replace the part, rather than the entire steam cleaner.
