removing gel candle wax from carpet

How do you remove gel candle wax from carpet? I have tried iron and paper towel, iron and paper bag iron and cloth iron and damp cloth ( all on dry iron iron on high heat - medium heat) tried damp cloth with steam iron all just spread it. tried steam cleaner got some but not all. tied hair drier doesn't get hot enough. to large to freeze. tried wax remover from the craft store did nothing. any advice?

Hi Janh
Gel candles are made from mineral oils and plastic polymers. So unfortunately the methods you tried above would not work effectively as it is not candle wax.
Try using an oil based solvent such as Goop. Goop can be purchased at a local auto parts store.
Rub the Goop into the affected area. Then use a steam cleaner with cold water to suck the remaining goo from the gel candle up.
NOTE: When rubbing the goop into your carpet don't rub too hard, you don't want to fray the carpet fibers.
Always remember to test in an inconspicuous spot prior to trying anything new.
